I'm struggling a lot in drawing the hip area of the body. So decided to do some 2-5-10 min study pose. (Yeah, I should really draw more men pose too.)

Hips have to be large and thin waist and above for the art style I'm learning. My brain is screaming out wrong, so I have to work against that. Trial and error...

In class; There 3 male sketches. I like the bottom middle one and maybe the top right one.(Hip could be a bit wider though maybe for muscle.)

I like it! It has that 2d traditional and 3d fill mix together. Can they make more movie like this please? I like how the eyes move around so expressions. I'll have to check my WreckItRalph DVD to watch the full versions and take notes.

Sweeeet. Disney robots! :( Though I think it's in California only... My eye just blink to think this is real! Ursala is the really cool one.

I should think of a name for her....

Side note: I found this interesting book called "Les Heroines Disney" Don't know how many pages but it has some nice sketches.

Also Disney need to make a real Art of The Little Mermaid. I can't find any sketches on Ariel human form. Maybe I'm just using the wrong words to search.

Logo

In class we had to come up with our own logo, signature, etc.

Here mine. I thought "Something that represent me? favorite thing?...I don't want to go IN YOUR FACE SIG/LOGO! BAM ANIMAL, ETC" So I decided to take parts of the letters in my name to shape it out and something that would be easy yet stylish for me. Most likely will make small tweaks changes later. Vector drawing but I uploaded the low level jpg quality version.

Quick sketch of full size body. Though probably some things are off for anatomy. Maybe looks a bit to young here.

 

This was interesting to draw. An art trade work. I'm going to go back later and change the color lineart to match with the skin. As for the background I'll give it a more cartoon look.
